The right chair was missing for a long time in this small living room
The aim was for it to be rather compact and yet really comfortable.
The design should harmonise with the other furniture...
...and have a lightweight appearance.
For the construction, solid Swiss Birch...
...and Swiss Beech plywood was selected.
Two Upholstery Fabrics were chosen and applied in Zürich-Altstetten.
You would be amazed to experience how well it feels to sit in this chair.

In the Middle Ages Bauhütten was a collection of contractors and craftsmen who together developed new building solutions with an incredible appearance. This spirit of creatively combining construction and craftsmanship are the foundations of Bauhütte Design.

I learned the essence of construction and craftsmanship during my apprenticeship as an organ builder.
Following several years in France, Italy and USA, I emerged to become a furniture designer, creating Bauhütte Design in 2001 in Zürich.
